Cost is important with any project. Basically, we can fit with most budgets. We have a standard rate for some commonly asked-for packages, but we can also work out a price based on an hourly rate, if what you need is a bit out-of-the-ordinary.

How long does the whole process take?

It depends on what you're after. Generally, if it's a site-only job and you give us all the information we need, we can have your website live within a month. If you're after logo design and stationery as well, then it could just add a few more days, or it might double the time, depending on complexity and how clear you are on what you need.

Small and simple is quick, big and complicated takes longer. We'll let you know before we start.

How do I get search engines to find my site?

Search engines (Google and that sort of thing) are basically big crawlers. They creep all over the web following links and sifting information. They take a while to mow over the top of your site - generally 3 to 6 weeks from when you go live. Rest assured though, you will be found.

We do our best to 'optimise' your site but at the end of the day, a frequently updated site that is linked to by many other sites and has its own distinct niche will tend to sit near the top of the list. Keep updating your site (Webby helps there) and twist some arms to get people to link to you.

How do I maintain my site?

We can be flexible with this one. I have clients who have bought a Webby license and maintain their sites themselves. They can use Webby to maintain several sites if they wish at no extra charge.

We also have clients who know they will never get around to the regular updates and maintenance that a web-site needs to remain useful and relevant. In return for an hourly rate per change, or a set fee per month, we maintain and manage the site for them. Get in touch, and we can talk through the options.
